TM30 android app....only on Thai play store

Featured Replies

Checking on my play store (UK) there is a section 38 app that allows me to do a 90 day report. However apparently there is also a similar app for doing TM30 but it is only available if you change to the Thai play store. And according to google if I do that I am not able to switch back to the UK play store for 365 days and not able to use the payment methods associated with it. I don't want to be stuck on the Thai play store for the next year. This is absolutely bonkers, but does anyone know of a way round this ?

One workaround: create a new second GMAIL account while here in Thailand. Then access the PlayStore using that new GMAIL, where you should be able to see/find and DL the Section38 app. It will also auto-update from then on. No need to "switch" anything.

You can have many GMAIL, and PlayStore, accounts on one single device.

Section38 is for the TM30  https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=th.go.immigration.section38&hl=en

Immigration eServices is for the TM47/90-day report   https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=th.go.immigration.immeService&hl=en

eTM6 is, obviously, for the TM6   https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=th.go.immigration.etm6&hl=en

Its not called a TM47 or a 90 day report app.

Do you see this app in play store? If you do, the 90 day report section is in this app.

Yes that one isn't a problem as it's in the UK play store. But the one to do the TM30 isn't, that is only available on the Thai play store.

We wouldn't expect consistency now would we ?

You can side load it from one of the many companies who seem to store apk files for reasons unknown to me.  Here's a link for one:

https://apkpure.com/immigration-eservices/th.go.immigration.immeService

I've heard (but can't confirm) it may not to be updated automatically as not obtained through Play Store.  The current version at that link is the latest version.  1.0.26

Ok I finally managed to download the TM30 app on my phone.

The first screen requires certain details in order to register. It took me ages to figure out when it asked for House number that this wasn't the number on the address but a special ID number. Then at the bottom it asks for a file to be attached although there is no mention of what they actually want (they would be too helpful).

Someone told me I should attach a copy of my lease as a pdf, but every time I try that all the details I had previously entered are instantly erased and I have to start over.

My expectation this might actually work was of course hopelessly naive, but where am I going wrong ? can anyone enlighten me ?

Look at the online registration page and you'll see where to find a house ID number, and once you've entered the accommodation type a box will appear at the bottom of the page showing the documents required.  Your lease should do for the second one.

Not sure how to make it stick if using the app though.
