i received a red stamp in my passport and a number 1 in blue ink in the middle of the stamp

is that a 1 year ban from entering Thailand

You were banned from entry for one year from the day you left the country.

You are allowed to enter the country now but may pulled to the side and be asked to show tickets out of the country, financial proof and etc.

The problem you could have is boarding your flight if immigrations records still show you are banned from entering when the airline requests pre approval for you entry.
