I'm currently on a marriage extension valid until 23 januari and want to change to retirement extension but have only 400000 Thb in Thai bank. I will get a 60 days extension at the family desk first on the 23 third of this month. So I need to transfer more funds to my Thai bank account. Do the 800000 baht have to be in my bank account 2 month prior application for my first retirement extension? Does the wife have to go with me? JOMTIEN immigration.

The 800k baht will have to be in the bank for 2 months on the date you apply.

Your wife might need to be with you to confirms she is aware you are changing the reason for the extension.
