eServices and online reporting useless with new passport

It has been mentioned repeatedly. So just a reminder.

90 day online reporting won't work if you have got a new passport while in Thailand and not left/entered the country with this.

 

Today I did register at the mobile app (Immigration eServices).

It just asks for name/nationality... but no passport number.

Registration successful!

BUT then I looked up my profile:

Name...

Old passport number...

Permission to stay ends Oct 2016 (new passport in 2017)?

Overstay status "Normal".

So I registered as a data cadaver :cheesy:

 

Has somebody in similar situation been successful to correct this at the immigration office?

My attempt at the last office was obviously misunderstood, blank stare.

 

Like you said you have to leave Thailand and re enter with

your new passport for it to be able to do online,I am in

same situation as you, so just do 90 day report by mail,

and that works OK, why the cannot change things when

they enter your details with new passport number,I don't know.

Did it a few times in the past and will do for the next (26 April).

Planning a visa run later in the year (if the world comes back to non panic mode until September).

The profile would not exist for me. I have no record in the database it checks since my last entry was long before 2013 when it is was set up

I suspect I would not be able to register for it if was able to download the app. For some unknown reason Google play store tells me my tablet is not compatible with it even though it has android 7 in it.
