“Anyone who visited Rayong during the same period and are worried whether they had unknown close contact with the infected person, please contact the PPHO and come to be tested for free,” Busaya Jaipiam, Chief of the Phuket office of the Public Relations Department (PR Phuket), told The Phuket News’ Thai-language sister newspaper Khao Phuket today (July 17).

and come to be tested for free,

this should have been available to all, from day 1; yes, i know there is a lab analysis in the middle;

thais, being thais, might make it 30 baht for thais and 5000 for non-thais; and think this is perfectly ok

If you do this free "test" you have a good chance to be tested positive even though you are perfectly healthy. The PCR and the antibody test are like a lottery, in fact there is no reliable test for a virus like this. That's the problem, why we have these high numbers of so called infected people and the relatively low numbers of deaths. Much lower than with former influenza seasons.
