If a falang has a monthly pension of about 200,000 Baht, one has to go to the embassy and they will issue a confirmation. Is such a confirmation enough?

Is it necesseray to show bank proofs?

The certification by the Embassy as to written confirmation from the source of your income should be all you need.

P.S. on Dr. Pat's post, make sure your documentation for the Embassy is as strong as it can be.

It's my understanding that the US Embassy only requires the applicant to state his monthly income and that document, notarized by the embassy, is used to apply for extension of stay. No verifying documents are required.

The British Embassy does require verification of pensions.
