Christmas and post delivery

I just got my christmas goodies from my family back home. 9kg of all i need for christmas. It was 10 days from Norway to my home in Thailand. So for all of you that,are saying that the post dont work think again. Nothing was tempered with and the mail man smiled when he could get that 9 kg parcel off his motorbike. Marry Christmas to eveyone.

Did you have to pay import duty ?

I received a food parcel from the uk and paid around 30+%.

Parcel from USA to me was 14 days.

No nothing like that. The postman just deliver. It was food, pinnekjøtt that we eat for chrismas and cheese, chocalate and more. They send every year and no problem.

My wife wanted some flavored candy canes.  So I ordered some from Amazon, even though heck of expensive with customs/shipping added.  Now UPS at Suvarnabhumi is telling me I have to mail my passport to them to clear customs.  Or I can abandon the package, they won't return it.  So now I have the option of driving about 3 hours to get there or just losing about $40.

7 years here I have never had this happen before when ordering from Amazon.
