Posting Passport To Uk For 1 Yr Visa?

Featured Replies

hi,regarding a 1 year visa issued in the uk.does anybody have any opinions on posting your passport to your home country (even from say malaysia),& then getting a family member or freind to post it on to the relevant thai consulate.

is this a definite no no,eg they know where you are & wont issue it without you being in the uk?

sorry mods,wrong section

There is a thread going about this in the visa section. It is illegal to do ghost visa runs.

Some consulates in the UK offer a postal service and no, they don't know where you are. As long as the paperwork is in order it will be OK. However, you would be in the shit if you got caught here without your passport/visa.
