webfact
Picture: Thai Rath Authorities at Khon Kaen International Airport were scurrying to explain after a mother and her daughter nearly drowned when they went to pick up a relative. This followed a post on a Facebook page called "Prajan Lai Kratai". Some lightweight plastic cones had been put in place on a road leading to a car park not yet in service. Picture: Thai Rath But a heavy rainstorm had blown the cones away and the woman thought she could proceed. Her car was almost completely submerged in the deluge and they had to be rescued from potentially drowning. Thai Rath reporters went to the airport and found heavier obstacles now in place to prevent a repeat of the near tragedy. Picture: Thai Rath Security guards said the incident happened on the 9th of July. This was confirmed in an airport Facebook post that reported the mother misunderstood that the car park was in use because the cones had blown away in "unusually heavy rain and water runoff to a low lying area". They said that quick action by their staff saved the day. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2022-07-14 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m. Popular Post KhunBENQ
What I know as the new car park is opened since a while. Used it on July 4th. So some mystery behind this news for me. Is there another one? The one in the picture HAS been opened. And the signage among the still not completed work is not a masterpiece. It will be closed every rainy season as the lower level floods.

internationalism
this car is not "completely" submerged. Water level is up to half of car, below door handle. It was drivers full fault, no matter if there were any cons or not. Possibly she drove in with such speed, that car became waterborn
