What are the most creative ways to abuse Smart-Glasses?

Featured Replies

Dear Folks,

Sometime soon, in a Galaxy not far away, Google will introduce Smart-Glasses that work with Samsung phones (and Apple Phones, too).

So, how do you think people will immediately begin abusing them, from the start?

Do you think people using them care much about other people’s privacy?

Do you expect to abuse them, yourself?  And, if so, how?

Unfortunately, Google’s glasses, unlike the Meta-Ray-Ban models, do not provide a high-definition screen. They capture video and images, but then you need to view the captures on your phone or computer.

No doubt, the updated models by Google, with screen, will follow shortly.

Are there any laws here in Thailand to protect the public, and the young hot girls, from old men wearing the Meta-Ray-Bans, do you think?

Here is a vid produced by a nice young man, who actually seems to care about others. Is he for real?

And, here is what products are available from Google....
(Of course, Hot Chinese Chicks look better wearing them,....obviously.)

(Refer to this video in the comment following the Original Post. This glitch is still plaguing us here on TV.)

Maybe I will buy a pair.

But, why?

Best regards,

Gamma

The above vid should have been added above previous post.

Just another minor glitch, it seems, which has not yet been solved.

What are smart glasses. I was "smart" in university (graduated at the top of my class) and I wore glasses. Were those "Smart Glasses?" Asking for a friend.

I could abuse myself a few times daily using smart glasses.

Thanks for giving me a great idea gg.

Probably by poking them under bathroom stalls, upskirting, walkabouts on nudist beaches etc.

Don't forget there could be just as many perverts that will be batting for the dark side of you 🤔

A friend of mine got some kind of nerve disease that caused him to lose his hearing in 3 months. While looking around for something that could help him function in this world, I found that Sony had been working on glasses for people to wear in very loud environments. They could lip-read and print what was said on the inside of the lenses.

I misread the headline as Smart Arses. My immediate reaction would be to tell the person to f off and tell him that he is making a spectacale of himself.

An interesting perspective on modern technology.

... but Smart Glasses are in use by the Deaf Community daily, but not for catching upskirt photos.

Many of us with severe hearing loss are using a type of 'Smart Glasses' (no, not Sony's), that capture conversations and type them out so we can 'see' what's being said, helping fill in the missing sounds in speech we can no longer hear.
There are several apps that can do this on your phones, and iPhones even have built-in captioning, but often not so accurate. Unfortunately, these require that you look at your phone during the conversation to read what has been said. The new captioning glasses allow us to understand speech more clearly, without losing eye contact, and interact in venues heretofore too difficult for folks who are hearing impaired.

You are a perfect example of the type of person, one who missreads headlines, who could most benefit from the Google Smart-Glasses.

Please do not buy anything from FaceBook (I mean that creapy failure of a company, Meta. Meta: what an idiotic name. The fearless leader of the company is now going way off track.)

ray bans are temting but pricy

There will be a rise of patrons filming those hotties in freelancer bars, massage parlours and other brothels and then posting it all on social media.

I never got over the disappointment of (so called) X-ray specs, so I will not be investing in (so called) Smart-Glasses.

Maybe.

But, they probably cost a pittance to produce.

What is the markup, anyway?

This is why I would never buy Ray-Ban.....

I would rather Waltz Around Chiang Mai, lugging a lady's Gucci Handbag.

I hate designer garbage.

White is good.....in America....

As I always say.

But, Brown is Better....in Asia.

I prefer Brown, or Golden Brown, after all these years, here in Asia.

Soon the smart shoes that will have covert cameras on the shoe, that film underneath those mini skirts...

If all they do is take pictures and video then they're hardly new. I bought a pair from Lazada before Covid to try and record some of my walks around the place for future posterity (and if any young ladies got in the way, then so be it, lol). The glasses took about an hour of full HD video but were quite large, the new version will be more subtle, I hope. I soon got bored with them, though. The new versions that are web-enabled and will do real-time translation sound more useful.

The name should be changed back from smart-glasses to spy-glasses which they used to be called. Expect that they will be banned in most countries in the world. If people have plans to record other people in Thailand and share it online, they would probably benefit from reading up on Thailand's Computer Crime Act in advance.

i just wish that ALL Ray-Bans were banned, everywhere, except maybe France.

I was sitting near the security entrance to Nana Plaza in Stumble Inn having a beer and watching the girls and customers arriving. Great place for people watching. This Chinese guy rolled up wearing glasses. The security guy noticed the inbuilt camera immediately and told the guy to <deleted> off and not come back. The rest of his party went in and the poor sucker had to wait outside for them to come back out sometime later. I think these Google glasses will cause a lot of problems in the future both for the wearer and surrounding people.

That was a very interesting book. I read all 2200 pages over a period of a month. A wonderful insight into the seedier side of life in Victorian era London.
