First 90 Day Report start date time frame after extension

Featured Replies

Hello,

Tried to reply to old topic but didn't get a reply on this. Applied on Oct 28 for my one year for Thai wife. Got my stamp on Nov 29th. That stamp on 29th stated the 90 day report, so now I am a bit confused as I was under impression I had to do 90 day from Oct 28, the day I applied for initial one year extension. Can someone clear this up for me?

Thank you.

90 days from your first extension stamp.

Thanks for the help. So, just to make completely sure, Oct 28, day I applied for extension, correct?

I see your question.

My thinking is clock starts from approval so that would be from Nov 29.

Others will correct if this is wrong.

Thanks. Yes, this is the part I am unsure of and would think it would be more stated firmly on these forums as I tried to search numerous times and different websites and could not get a clear answer. Joe stated from applying on Oct 28th originally but as you stated Nov 29th, and that is where I see the 90 day reminder under my stamp. It is clearly confusing.

Take Joe's advice over anyone every day of the week.

Yeah, I usually do, and maybe he is firm on his original reply and thats why he did not need to chime in. If I do not see any other replies or info, I will go ahead with this.

Remember, it is actually an 89 day report, not a 90 day report.  The date of your stamp counts as Day 1, not Day 0.

I'd always just continued with whatever regime I was under.

Whatever random date 90 + 90 + 90 ... = annual visa extension rollover

Leaving country = return date on boarding pass

This year I made my 90 day on 13 based on 90th day being Jan 23rd. Fully accepted and done this way since forever. Past years been making lots of in person reports too. Inbound date was 23 like that.

My extension date has never played any relevance.

You are not answering the question.

The OP is asking when his 90 report date clock start when obtaining his FIRST extension from a non O

I suspect this may differ with location .

I applied for first extension from my recently acquired O visa on 21st Nov 2022 and extension stamp issued on 13th Dec 2022 with a 90 day notice of 18th Feb 2023 .

In my case 90 days reporting starts from the day I applied for the O visa extension not issued date.

Ayutthaya IO.

Usually the date of application of your first 12 month extension counts as a 90 day report.

So it would be 90 days from the application date.

As we all know different offices = different rules.

File 90-Day Report online on earliest date.  If successful, you are done.  If not successful, file online on the next earliest date.  If successful, you are done.  If not successful visit immigration office and file in person.
