Pattaya Mayor Says Second Road Construction to Take Another Two Months

Pattaya, Thailand-In what will likely be frustrating news for many Pattaya residents and tourists, the Pattaya Mayor posted on his social media today, June 3rd, 2023, that long-standing road construction on Pattaya’s Second Road will not be finished anytime in the immediate future.

The project, which has been ongoing for well over a year, has suffered numerous delays and problems.

According to the Pattaya Mayor, Poramese Ngampiches, this is due to issues with older construction under the road that has delayed installation of new pipes and drainage systems especially in the area around Mike Shopping Mall and Royal Garden.

Half the time when I drive by, nobody is even working.

So basically they are going to be working on it during the rain and floods - if they ever arrive

You have to give him credit where credit's due.

He didn't say it would be finished in 2 months, what he said is, Two more months of construction would mean that the project would not be completed until at least August of 2023

Excuses, excuses excuses.... the real issue, the contractor is a fellow crony and he has no control over him.

'Issues with older construction under the road delaying installation of new pipes and drainage systems '. If that's the case and likely is then that is a major problem. Then combined with so few working if at all.

All contracts are awarded to family members irrespective of expertise.  It's hard for the mayor to criticise his B-i-L.

How about Thepprasit rd , when will that finish,  if ever?
