jasreeve17 Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 This has been done so many times before, but one will play along!Betty Blue, she is just amazing, what a sexy loon! 100% agreement from I. I also thought that Last of the Mohicans was a great movie and soundtrack.
uptou Posted July 29, 2007 Posted July 29, 2007 to hard to pick one movie, but some that stand out for me in memory; sideways cool hand luke shawshank redemption bad santa fargo straw dogs
peter991 Posted August 5, 2007 Posted August 5, 2007 It has to be Gone With The Wind, but my personal favourite is still Silence Of The Lambs. Peter
Swelters Posted August 5, 2007 Posted August 5, 2007 Thought The Deerhunter was the best of the Vietnam crop. Many of the background cast were recruited in and around the Sukhumvit area in BKK, taxi drivers etc. My Thai wife's picks of many we've seen are "To Kill a Mockingbird" and "Pride and Prejudice". Seem odd but the Thai are very sophisticated in matters of family and neighborhood politics.

onzestan Posted August 5, 2007 Posted August 5, 2007 OK I'll be the odd one out. "Le prisonier et la vache" with Fernandel "Et dieu créa la femme"which introduced Brigitte Bardot to the world. Cheers onzestan
lannarebirth Posted August 5, 2007 Posted August 5, 2007 My Thai wife's picks of many we've seen are "To Kill a Mockingbird" and "Pride and Prejudice". Seem odd but the Thai are very sophisticated in matters of family and neighborhood politics. If your wife loved this movie, which was very good, you owe it to her to get her the book. One of the best ever. I'll add "In The Heat Of The Night" (although I love most of Sidney Potiers movies) and "The African Queen" as among my favorites
PeaceBlondie Posted August 5, 2007 Posted August 5, 2007 Speaking of Sidney Potier, "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" was a classic with an all-star cast. And lest I forget the Princess of Monaco, Cole Porter's adaptation of "The Philadelphia Story" - "High Society" also had an all star cast, with Sinatra and Crosby singing a duet, and Louis Armstrong.
soundman Posted August 5, 2007 Posted August 5, 2007 Someone reminded me of it in another thread. Dirty Rotten Scoundrels with Michael Caine & Steve Martin playing Ruprect the monkey was a barrel of laughs. Also The Money Pit featuring Tom Hanks was a riot! Soundman.
Fred Sanford Posted August 5, 2007 Posted August 5, 2007 I just saw "dear frankie", great movie. also agree that "pride and prejudice" was great. To sir with love was a great Portier movie
JimsKnight Posted August 5, 2007 Posted August 5, 2007 (edited) I don't have a single best movie as such, these few spring to mind though: Legends of the Fall 300 Sin City Alien Aliens Raiders Of The Lost Ark Uncommon Valour Edited August 5, 2007 by JimsKnight

lazeeboy Posted August 24, 2007 Author Posted August 24, 2007 saving ryans privates the dirty dozen 1968
trianglechoke Posted August 26, 2007 Posted August 26, 2007 saving ryans privates the dirty dozen 1968 It's called "Shaving ryans privates" " not saving"................any way, 1)Star wars all 6 epsodes running as one is the best then 2)Dolly and Burt in 9 to 5 3)Watership down 4)The A-team feature lenth episode 5)I spit on your grave
chinthee Posted August 26, 2007 Posted August 26, 2007 Another correction, it's "Savouring Ryan's Privates." Being as how Matt Damon was Ryan, probably true for lots of the fans. Best 3+: Apocalypse Now; Godfather 1,2,3; Being There.
lannarebirth Posted August 26, 2007 Posted August 26, 2007 Not the best movie I ever saw, but one I really enjoyed, was "The Man Who Would Be King" Kipling, Huston, Connery and Caine. Hard to go wrong.
Payboy Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 saving ryans privates the dirty dozen 1968 It's called "Shaving ryans privates" " not saving"................any way, "shaving" no, that's a gay movie....
