If you want that name brand.  I'm a CC, think mine cost 600 maybe, and came with a 'hot plate', which was crap.  Moka Pot is fine though.  450ml, I think.  Vendor doesn't carry it any more.

Bialetti is obviously the brand to go for if you are happy to pay for that - I use one when travelling and can't fault it for convenience (when camping and have no access to electricity etc)

They have a range of models from Stainless-steel to Aluminium.

I've just bought a Nespresso Vertuo Pop (7500 Baht) to use at work.

I'm quite happy with the coffee it produces and its ridiculously convenient.

I actually googled a little bit, and want to try drip coffe, or pour coffe through filter.

Now after caffe machines, french press, moka pot, aero press (still love that one while travelling) Im going for a simple drip coffe maker.

So I ordered this set for now

Have a look at the Delonghi Alicia. It is expensive but fully automatic with a heater. Just press start and wait for the beeping sound at the end. No need to stay in the same room, you can have a shower during that time. It even keeps the coffee hot as long as you like.

Important for drip coffee is to pre-brew , James Hoffman has a video exactly for this model, worth to watch.

I'm back to using French press again, always use a filter, after, as don't want cafestol, and because my grinder has 1 setting ????  fine.  Not what you want for French press as the screen isn't fine enough.

Even get the best yield with the press

Ok, but if you use a filter afterwards the coffee will not be different to normal filter coffee with all coffee oils removed and a weaker taste.

Just add more grounds, though happy with what I'm getting, and without the possible higher LDLs.  Get enough of those with my pastries.

The handle on my old bialetti crapped out on me after years of use.  I bought a stainless bialette to replace it, and covered the handle in aluminum tape (available in Home Pro, Global House) to better protect it.   5000 cups and  several years later, the pot keeps brewing.

Why not just buy a cheap coffee maker

It is more to how quick the chambers heat, bad quality metal change form, quality of metal can be unhealthy, quality moka pot can be used on induction and gas stoves, and easy to order spare parts such as sealings from a well known brand.

Smooth coffee, but as he say, ceramic steel quite a bit of heat, as well the glass pot. I will pre heat next time.

But coffee tasted great
