not much time to read a guide book on your flight to thailand - but take one with you from the local library or buy in some good bookshop on your way to the airport.

most probably you are arriving ad departing from bangkok - because it's centrally located so make it as a base for your travelling. If you don't have much time stay only in bangkok and surroundings (kanchanaburi, cha am, hua hin, ayuthaya), if more than check chang mai with it's temples, mountains, jungles.
