The Department of Special Investigation (DSI) has approved an inquiry into the case of late Thai actress Tangmo, following concerns about potential external and official involvement. Suspicions have been raised regarding possible manipulation of the justice process.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Yutthana Phaedam, Director-General of the DSI, authorised the investigation yesterday, January 22. This decision came after a complaint was filed requesting the case be treated as a special investigation. The complainant suggested the legal proceedings related to the death of Phattharathida, also known as Tangmo, appeared suspicious. They believe a group may have unlawfully interfered with the criminal justice process to assist others in avoiding or minimising penalties.

The investigation aims to uncover whether any distortion of the criminal justice process occurred and if any individuals or state officials were involved.

Approval for the inquiry was given under Section 23/1, paragraph two, of the Special Investigation Act of 2004, with subsequent amendments. Police Lieutenant Colonel Nathapol Disatham, a specialist in special cases, has been tasked with overseeing the investigation and will inform the complainant accordingly, reported KhaoSod.

This woman is the one who supposedly fell off the back of a moving boat whilst peeing. They claimed she got caught under the propellor and mangled.

Interesting thing about it is that some of the other people on the boat were her agent and her best friend. Who apparently( upon arriving to the dock) went home casually before contacting the police. No grief or waiting for the police to find the body and question them. (Wife is telling me about this)

I saw some videos of various Thai women testing the claims about if you can get caught under the propellor if you fall off the back of the boat in a position bent over while peeing. Given the boat is moving, it would be almost impossible to be dragged into the propellor this way. Also interesting was that on the inside of one leg there was a straight line sliced down her leg. Doctors argued that this is also impossible from a moving propellor. Yet, the police deemed it as accidental death.

It would not surprise me if some police were paid off to turn their heads the other way and ignore some basic facts about the case to conclude it was accidental.

Mosst important, in my opinion, is the lack of understanding about women and women's clothing. It was clealry stated at the time that she was wearing a jump suit, a slightly outdated fashion item which covers the whole body, a bit like a boiler suit but prettier, and has a zip up the front from crotch to neck. It would be an ideal garment for Tangmo to choose if she thought she might be at risk of groping. However, in order to urinate or defecate, it is necessary to remove the garment completely. So then you have the question, would a respectable 30+ year old woman, on a boat with at least 3 males with whom she was not familiar, strip naked to urinate over the back of the boat when she could have asked to be taken to a pier? Again in my opinion that is a 100% no. I even saw a computer graphic recently illustrating exactly that, and showing where the others were located on the boat, all very highly improbable.

Talk about beating a dead horse.

Anyone expecting anything even remotely close to the truth to be revealed and justice to follow needs to remind themselves that

This is Thailand.
