Visa To The Uk

Recommended Posts

Sorry guys for this thread as I am sure it has been done to death...I don't have the time to look through 204 pages on the hope I find the same kind of thread.

Long story cut short.

I have lived in Pattaya for 3 years, been with the wench 2 years. I stay on a business visa which ran out 4 days ago, I have just renewed my visa (tourist) for one month and I am aware that I have to leave the country within 90 days.

I was planning on going back to the UK in December though due to my shortfall with my business visa (I forgot to get my 3 months extension) I have to go in November. I'm 37, have a home in the UK (no mortgage), I have a business in the UK which I am the MD of (limited for 7 years)

I want to take the wench with me for maximum one month...I have no idea where to start? People talk about getting married etc though that is not an option at this juncture.

Please, can anyone point me to a thread that covers this issue or give me some direction.

Thanks for any help in advance.

WOF (Ginger).

Thank you. I hope I have enough time to get her sorted out and I look forward to your assistance.

Cheers again

Lee

Mate,

Just make sure she has her house book (if she owns property then that is perfect reason to return to return to LOS) There are quite a few documents you both have to get together, but knowing you, it will be a simple process and there will be no hassles at all. The mere fact that you have a business to return to in LOS will give heavy weighting. It might also be worth making sure that your beloved has a bank account set up. You will also have to show so bank account details, write a letter of invitation and support etc. You may have to get your Mum to write a letter of invite too. I wll come across to see you when I have sorted myself out. I managed to get my tilak a Toursit Visa to Oz and I am not a citizen so don't worry. Gather as much info as you can, photos also help as proof of relationship and bob's your uncle you will both be on the plane to blighty.

The guys on this forum were very helpful for me re the Oz application and I am sure the Scouser will assist on any info for a Toursit Visa to the UK. But first things first, I will go over as much as I know and then take it out to the forum. Plenty of time mate.

One important thing is to write the sponsor's letter in such a manner that it plainly states all the relevant facts - do not assume that the embassy guys will have the time or inclination to look through all the supporting documents and draw the conclusions that you would like them to; state it clearly for them to understand with relevant references to all the supporting documents. Also, alas, any reference to Pattaya will result in raised red flags and the immediate assumption that your darling is a b-girl, so try to avoid that if you can!

The embassy does seem quite reasonable when presented with the necessary documents in an easy to understand manner.

Also, if you go the visa agent route in Pattaya they will tell you the only way to do it is to get married - more fees for them, I'd guess. It can and has been done on a girlfriend basis by many who do the visa application themseleves.
