June 11Jun 11 An air of exotic intrigue surrounds this developing situation in Myanmar. With everyone keeping information strictly confidential, we are left with more questions than answers. We are missing the who, the what, the why, and the how, reducing the known facts strictly to the where.Given how little information is available, the situation is clearly serious enough for Thailand’s Foreign Ministry to state that it is actively providing Ms. X with consular assistance. To quote Donald Rumsfeld, "Reports that say that something hasn't happened are always interesting to me, because as we know, there are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns - the ones we don't know we don't know".
