Saudi Arabia condemns Houthi blockade

Saudi Arabia on Monday condemned allegations by Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthis that Riyadh was imposing a siege on the Yemeni people, after the group announced ‌it would impose a maritime blockade on Saudi Arabia.

Amid the disruption in shipping through the Strait of Hormuz during the US-Israel war on Iran, Saudi Arabia was attempting to facilitate oil flow through alternative routes through the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandeb Strait. Now that route is under threat from the Houthis.

Topic title corrected.

The Saudis have military capability. They hate Iran. Start using it.

Saudis build a pipeline to avoid use of Straits of Hormuz, to export oil, and Iran through the Houthi extension of their terror netork, shut that down.

And people still blame and think Trump is the evil one in this saga. Go figure ... open your eyes people ...

Trump simply wants to stop Iran from having nukes, and succeeded for now. But Iran wants to pressure the world, by restricting oil, to force the USA, to allow Iran to have nukes to become the ultimate terrorist group. As if they aren't already, with their extensive terrorist network.

THAT CAN'T BE ALLOWED TO HAPPEN

Yeah,the houthis.

Completely forgot about those guys.

Thanks for the heads up.

Of course it's Trump's fault, though he shares blame with Netanyahu.

Trump started this unnecessary war. Now the Houthis have joined the fray. Kind of surprised they waited this long. The intel community was spot on analyzing how a war with Iran might play out, from closing the Strait to proxies joining in to attacks against Gulf infrastructure and production facilities. Trump ignored it, even having Gabbard, Ratcliffe and now Pulte firing people who analyzed correctly.

Trump could have said "mea culpa" and put the JCPOA back on in February. Hormuz would be as open as on 27 February, crude would be in the $50s, lots of innocents would still be alive (including 168 elementary school girls), the US would have kept about $100 billion it has subsequently blown up to no avail.....and the JCPOA could have been used as intended: as a stepping stone to further negotiations, such as to stop funding Hezbollah, Hamas and the Houthis.

But because Obama lives rent free in Trump's otherwise empty head, we have war, high oil, disrupted travel, lots of death and increasing inflation. Of course there's some Epstein diversion at play, too.

When you think things could not get worse, Trump steps up and says, "Hold my cheeseburger".

Not really Trump's fault....I don't think he had a choice.
