Yes, I have previously visited England. Locations visited included York, Cambridge, Oxford, Nottingham, Bath and others. The one place that I found grimy and sketchy was Basingstoke. Despite my dislike of the place, I did not see a nation in collapse or over-run by savages. Yes, there is lots of negativity on the internet. Often it shows a situation far worse than the reality. In some cases, the source is foreign with an intent to sow discord and social upheaval in the nation. Tourism is a strong indication of the state of a nation. If a destination is is unsafe or dysfunctional, tourist will avoid it. Visitors to London still exceed 20 million per annum. That is a fantastic number when one considers the cost of a visit. In comparison, low cost Phlippines only manages to attract approximately 5 million visitors. Many people on this website sing high praise for Vietnam, yet it only manages about 21 million visitors in a year. Yes, the UK and England has its problems. Other advanced wealthy nations have similar issues The countries will sort through these issues. There will be disruption along the way, but none of these countries is in a state of anarchy, or collapse the way it is described by the those who see the bad in everything and are never satisfied unless they are disparaging and ripping things apart.
