Trump is just a patsy for the self-serving billionaires, who hate the US system that theoretically has all created equal. Citizens United is of greater significance to them than the Bill of Rights. To understand what people like Andreessen and Musk actually want for "America", look up the Dark Enlightenment, or NRx. Look at their philosophical guru, Curtis Yarvin. They abhor democracy, separation of powers, checks and balances, and all the things that the Founders aimed the country towards. They believe they are inherently superior and have a duty to run society as they see fit, corralling and pacifying the 350 million or so plebes who are not them. They know how to manipulate Trump's cult of goobers (one can see it in the MAGAs here), and think Citizen's United is their cudgel to get control over the sane and rational people who are not prone to the cult of Trumpism. Yarvin, Andreessen, Thiel, Musk, etc., seem to prefer The Hunger Games over the US Constitution as their guiding document. They seem to know Trump is just an easily manipulated buffoon who will help them create the society they want.
