No issue whatsoever, just curious how they can still make a profit. It's like consistently (not just promotionally) selling a product for less than the manufacturing cost.

They buy and sell foreign currency, and while their spread on USD is razor thin, you will find that THEIR "manufacturing cost" (buy rate) is slightly lower than the price they sell it for (sell rate). At any given time.

Only they know how much money they make or lose from holding foreign currencies while they keep fluctuating; they must have significant amounts of cash in various currencies. Tricky for sure, but as they've been in business for so long, they seem to be experts!

Always compare if possible... because sometimes SuperRich at the Airport is not the best rate...their booths in Bangkok Center can have more attractive rates to buy your foreign currency like the CHF, € or US$

Indeed, most would expect Superrich to be better than BBL.

But the question put was how is it possible for superrich to sell below the mid market rate, quoting BBL as more realistic.

Obviously not likely, so the real question is did OP mistake buying rate for selling rate. Also unlikely as the buying rate wouldn't be anywhere near that high, most likely an error on displayed figure. Quite disappointing when the cashier tells you there was a mistake on the listing.

So they are still selling at just below the XE mid market rate, currently 33.30. Guess they know what they are doing.

I got 44.92 yesterday from WISE.

Best price this week.

I was very pleasantly surprized to see some exchanges in Chiang Mai,

giving exactly the same rates as superrich in bangkok.

I never exchange cash at the bandit banks.

I would see that selling at 33.32 is above the mid market rate of 33.30. The OP indicated they were selling at 33.12 with a mid market rate of 33.15.

All a bit academic, you get what they give you at the time. It is a while since I have used them and that was GBP. At only half a baht between buying and selling, spread was never so tight.

Of course, it's academic. While no practical implications, those questions can be interesting. Example:Philosophers have debated for 1000 s of years whether mathematical truths are objective or subjective, analytical or synthetic, reducible to logic or not.
