From Uk, What Visa To Enter On, To Gain Media Visa?

Featured Replies

I have some questions regarding media visa, hope you can post a response on them.

Shortly I will be returning to the UK for a few days and will be returning with the view to gaining a media visa. I have yet to start the process which I read can take about 1 month, so it looks like I'll have to apply when I come back to Thailand. Is there any problem in doing that?

I have read that apparently most journalists gain a B visa to start with rather than an M visa. Presumably they get the B visa from their home country. What are the benefits of either visa?

I have a UK company who will provide the sponsor letter and I believe I can provide the other requirements, but am unclear on what visa I should re-enter Thailand with. Would any visa suffice, or would it have to be one of the non immigrant visa to start with/which?

Would really appreciate some help on this as I leave really soon to the UK and if I need to get anything done while I am in Thailand, best I get it done now.

Thanks very much in advance,

Tom.

Do you have Media accreditation from your home country or anywhere else ?

If you mean work I have done which has my name in the credits which I can use as examples, then yes.

However, if it's a national press card or the like, then not at the moment.
