Saw one of these in Ladproa. Rare as rocking horse sh*t in the UK. I'll give someone a cyber pat on the back if you know what it is. Certainly rival all the super cars here for performance.

Ford RS200. :D Very Rare.

I suppose the file being called rs200 should've given me a clue! :o

I have an excuse...I was still at school when they were being made :D:D

that Aston Martin is sexy.

Yes, and the Ferrari is black, so send it back.

About 25 years ago an old lady died in California and her will stipulated that she must be buried in her Ferrari. (Had to be California, huh?). So that's what happened.

I moaned about it to a Ferrari owner I knew and he laughed. "Doesn't matter," said he. "It was blue!"

I did once see a Jowett Javelin in BKK, now that is a rare motor.

Thanks for the chuckle from your link:

0-60 = 25.4 seconds...

:D

And to change the spark plugs you had first to jack it up and remove the front wheels!

Really? :o

That reminds me of mini-mini-vans in Japan that to add coolant to the tank required sitting in the passenger seat and doing so through the glove box... :D

I believe others had the brake fluid tank in the glove box.

At my Condobuilding stays a Lamborhini Coutach; but the engine sound's more like a Toyota 6 cyl. not like the original 12 cylinder. Still a very nice car.

Is it black, in pattaya? :D

Now you just want to know where I live :o:D I think it's the same colour the Ford T had once. :D

This is very rare for SAAB fans....

2005484562658595331_rs.jpg

However, I prefer to drive rather than to sit in the back!!!

Nice cars posted there dave, I saw a red plated Ferrari up in Pai 2 years ago and the same couple in another red plated Ferrari in Chiang Rai this year... I gotta respect them for actually using their car... instead of just parking it in some garage and showing it off....

Yes indeed. This is one very long SLAAB! I can explain.

An acquaintance from Holland went shopping for a car in Thailand, c 1999. He wanted to buy with cash and toured northern Thai dealerships with a Thai interpreter and a briefcase packed with 1000b notes PLUS his cheque book.

He had 3 stipulations. Whatever car he bought had to be top of the range, green and NOT Japanese. His decision, he made it clear, would be made purely on the best discount offered. Saab at that time had a yard full of top spec models in Bkk (almost 100, it was said) and were DESPERATE to get rid of them fast before the new facelifted version was announced. After a few days delay while they found him one in green, he took delivery at a discount of 25%. Yes, 25%!!!!!!!!!!

And the others were bought by Bkk entrepeneurs, many of whom STREEEETCHED them as limmos to make money out of that specialist market, dominated by stupidly expensive Mercs. 'Cos the SLABS were so cheeeeep!

May the force go with you. Market forces.

I'm sorry but it just seems plain boring....any car can be stretched and Mercs are 2 a penny in thailand.

I might add that I will NEVER be old enough to buy a Merc either.

Perhaps you do not live in Thailand so that explains your remarks. Mercs are very expensive in Thailand...in your country (the USA?) I know that they are not that expensive.

Hey, even if you are getting up there in age don't worry about what you can buy...a lot of seniors like you can buy other foreign cars.

So? Didja buy it? Can we expect to see more pictures of it in your posts? Perhaps your new avatar?

If it is the one I think then it is I believe a Honda engine which used to (or may still do) also run on nitrous. :D

Isn't that Pol Pots 1973 Merc limo that was recently for sale on ebay?

http://www.boingboing.net/2007/10/26/pol-p...973-stretc.html

It is similar to the one now owned by a monk in my local wat. But, I don't think that there is any connection. Hmmm.

Is the New Mustang GT or Shleby500 available in Thailand? The new wave of muscle cars blowed my mind completely - new Charger, mustang, challenger and soon camaro...

I saw a Shelby on Prachachuan last week, so I guess that means they are available.

Cheers

Did you notice if it was right or left side drive? I wonder how much they cost? Must be high import taxes for it.

Much more orange and no bronze.

Cheers

I get, head-aches, insomia, influenza whenver i see this car. I'll be sick until I get a "snake" - it's gonna be my mid-life crisis car, or maybe even a "roush" mustang... I have to do with a fortuner for now.
