Hi,

Anyone else having the problem as laid out in the copy of the email I sent to my ISP????

"Greetings,

From 6am Sunday 19th Sept when operating in the internet I am constantly receiving the message "Operation Timed Out".

This message is an indicator that your primary resolution server has malfunctioned and that your secondary server is not performing to

design . I am receiving the above message within 20 seconds of attempting to connect with the URL , also when moving within the web site.

This problem needs your urgent attention - failure to fix the problem may result in customers changing their ISP's .

Your CSLoxinfo message below refers to the period in which this problem started :--

"Please be informed that we have a schedule for system maintenance

to enhance the efficiency from 07:00 p.m. of September 18, 2004 to

06:00 a.m. of September 19, 2004."

Regards."

hi´

did you scan for any worm?

have you a software that can help you to ¨keep alive¨ the connection?

time out ocurs when the connection is saturated, or the server might be too ...

it quite rare with a well configured connection.

are you with an adsl or dial-up?

Hi,

Francois, thanks for your input.

Norton says no worms.

Do not know of software that can prevent timeouts.

Have dial up.

I suspected the ISP because the problem coincided with a major maintenance they had performed.

However I agree the problem could still lie inside the workings of my system.

I have had no replies from the ISP CsLoxinfo.

Had similar problem. Wattana Computer repair in Pattaya said there was a problem with the modem drivers. Either the drivers had become corrupted or during a visit to another repair shop the wrong drivers were installed. Wattana reinstalled the modem drivers and now I can connect to cslox by dialup though I'm getting errors when attempting to connect using the prepaid T-Net card.
