njpski
Use your computer to record the tapes - use a lead from your cassette player headphone jack to the microphone jack on your computer. Her lessons are great listening but carry the book with your when you are practising
Artamus
Use your computer to record the tapes - use a lead from your cassette player headphone jack to the microphone jack on your computer. Her lessons are great listening but carry the book with your when you are practising If your computer has a sound card, it most likely has three ports (jacks) - mic, headphones and line-in. It's also likely on teh back on the PC. The line-in is usually coloured black. You will get a better sound quality if you use the line-in jack rather than the mic jack. You might also need some software to "record" the tape as you play it into the computer. Another alternative is to find someone who has the CDs and then extract wav or mp3 files from the CDs directly. Artamus
HiI have HIS beginner book.. John its a SHE, isnt't it? Yes, it is a she - Benjawan being a lady's name. However, the confusion probably arrises because some European/US/Western bookshops advertise the book as "Benjamin". Guess they figure that's the western equivalent of the name. waveydavey
If you go to Pantip Plaza or somewhere similar you can probably find a shop to copy the tapes onto an MP3 CD for you.

rak sa_ngop
Use your computer to record the tapes - use a lead from your cassette player headphone jack to the microphone jack on your computer. Her lessons are great listening but carry the book with your when you are practising Download Audacity (free basic version) and play your cassette tapes real time as explained above and create Audacity files. You can then use the Audacity edit facilities to delete unwanted gaps, music, etc. Output the data as .wav files. Convert the .wav files to .wma files using something like JetAudio (free basic download). This also reduces the file size about 5X. There is a Audacity Mp3 output option but this requires some extra software which I never got to work.
