browneyedboy
On my next trip to Bangkok I am going via Phuket, simply because I found cheaper airfare from Sweden to Phuket than to straight to Bangkok. However, I don't want to stay in Phuket a single day, so I want to go with Bangkok air from Phuket to Bangkok the same day that I arrive in Phuket. Now, I arrive in Phuket at 15.40 and I know I can get a ticket with B.Air for a flight that leaves at 19.30 if I book it over the web. This seems like plenty of time to transfer, but I don't now what procedures I will have to go through since I've never been at that airport. Upon arrival in Phuket, will I have to go through customs or can I stay in the waiting area and go straight to my connecting Bangkok air flight? I will only be bringing hand-luggage on this trip. I've been thinking about flying with Air Asia on the way back since they are the cheapest. Has anyone tried them? Good or bad? Any advice about Phuket airport would be greatly appreciated! daveh
I believe you will have to go through customs and immigration in Phuket. It is your "port of entry". Phuket's airport is very small, there isn't much to do, so bring a book.
