Mentioned on a previous post today; 3 years.

Still loving it - met some seriously great Thai people, but prehaps looking for a change of scenery.

So..how long have you all been living your dreams for? :o

I actually never dreamed to come to Thailand.

More like a nightmare.

Too much traffic, too much pollution, too much of everything...

After 7 years in Thailand, it is still not a dream.

But going back to Europe would be a nightmare.

The traffic in Bangkok is so much better.... :D:D

Started coming here on business 10 years ago whilst w*rking in Malaysia.

Retired here just a fraction over 5 years ago.

Never looked back. A two week forced visit to Blighty recently reinforced my reasons for staying here.

:o:D:D:D:D

Posted here for work just over 2.5 years ago.

At least another 2 to go .......... not that I'm planning on leaving just yet anyway ....... this is the first (and only) job I've ever had that I actually like! :o

I arrived as a backpacker on the infamous 9/11, or 11/9 rather.

Got bored of that and settled down straight away. Loved it here.

Unfortunately just left due to extraneous circumstances. Now in Central America... Would do just about anything to get back home. (kanchanaburi) .

So it was three years, but it will be forever if home really is where the heart is.

15 years or a third of my life. Seems just like a week ago when I stepped off the plane. Thai time sure does fly quickly. :D

Far too long.

Been coming here for over 11 years and lived here for about 7 of them including the last 3.

Had to elsewhere in between for work but I am sort of retired unless somebody offers me a job.

Married for the last 4 1/2 to the girl I met in a bar on my first visit 11 years ago, loved her then and still love her now, especially with the new ankle biter almost ready to crawl around.

I live right out in the sticks where the weekly traffic jam is 2 minutes long on market day and the traffic lights have been set on warning mode for about 8 months I think.

I love Thailand and though I have been back to the UK this year I would never consider living anywhere else.

5 years and I call it home even though I may never get PR.

Am currently in Sydney's western suburbs and I hate it.

Can't wait to get back "home" in Jan, I hope. :o

PP I'd rather be in Klong Toey market than sharing a Doner Kebab here with the locals. :D

I'll be speaking Arabic and Vietnamese if I stay too long.

All the shop signs are in either Chinese or Vietnamese Grrrr! :o
