I am working almost 2 years for a company based in TH. My salary is 30K and less I should get paid according to “minimum wages” an employer has to? pay according to my country of origin. I am European.

Due to some internal “problems” in our company the management (farang) came up with the idea, to cut salaries. The explanation was: you are now doing different tasks.

In my case, I will now receive less salary than I received almost 2 years ago. About 2 years ago it was agreed to pay me 25K after probation. I also received a small pay rise. Now the management tries to cut me down to 20K - without any warning.... My question: can I protect myself? Is there a law which clearly states my rights – if any? Advise is most welcome.

Thanks

So it is ok for those unde 50 to get a pay cut? I thought you get paid according to task performed, not age.....

Man, I can't wait tell I get old... for some reason I get paid more.

No logit to your statement. But I would agree with you, you are getting the raw end of the deal. Where I live, you have no rights, if you don't like it, you may leave. Thailand, I would suspect, is the same.

A friend of mine who works for a consulting company in Thailand was having some trouble with his boss. He told me he was going to go to the Industrial Tribunal. He said it is some sort of worker's rights panel, but I'm not sure if he has resorted to it.
