Transfer Of Lease

Recommended Posts

I own a 30 + 30 lease on a piece of land which I want to sell.

The owner of the company that own the original chanote on the land tells me that he has to be present if I sell the lease to someone else.

Is that true?

She doe snot have to be there when people view and subsequently offer etc but she has to be there when it comes to transfering the new lease or remainder of existing lease as she is the freeholder and thus has to agree to the transfer to new owner and sign to this effect.

Put a dog boarding kennel business on it. That'll get your landlord back up to the registry office pretty sharpish.

And if not, you'll have a nice little earner on your hands. Either way you win :o
