My baby boy is due in about a month and i wil be looking to get A UK passport for him, do i need to show my own birth certificate for this or will my passport do?

You will need your own original long version birth certificate showing your mother and fathers names,occupations etc etc. A copy is not accepted and neither is a British passport as just being British is not enough in itself to pass on that right to your child who is born overseas to a foreign mother...it depends whether you became British by descent or otherwise- it's all on he British Embassy website.Check it out.

You can get it send to Thailand ordering it through the internet via the link on the government website. Takes about 10 days or so. Had to get mine some time ago so I know it works.
