I usually leave any creatures well alone; if they don’t bother me I don’t bother them.

These decided otherwise we had quite a few stings for no apparent reason

Anyone know what these insect are. :o:D

Can't see it quite well, but it looks as if they are Maleang Tor, a wasp species if I'm not mistaken.

If they are, try to find where there nest is and then after dark smoke them them out or aks the locals to do it for you. Maleang Tor can be quite aggressive when disturbed and a couple of stings can make you very sick.

I think Bambina can tell you much more about them.

Looking at the tweezers in the photo they appear to be to small for a malaeng tor. I'd say just a garden variety wasp. At our place they make their nests in the hibiscus, bananas, palms, and just about anywhere they can get some cover. Doesn't take much to piss them off either. Just a casual stroll close to the nest and they'll come after you. Good thing, at least for me, is that after a bunch of stings over time they now feel like a mosquito bite that quickly goes away.

Stroll around any bushes that you have during the daytime and you can usually see them flying in and out of the nest. There are many effective sprays for wasps that you can find at your local grocer.

good luck
