Getting Married, Multi Entry Visa?

i'm thinking about marrying my TGF and i'm not clear about my visa options.

as i understand it, i can apply for a non-immagrent 'O' visa with proof of marriage to a thai citizen. however, i travel outside thailand every 4 to 8 weeks on business so i wonder, is the non-immagrent 'O' visa good for multi-entry and for how long? will i have to pay something every time i re-enter thailand?

You'll need to get a one-year multi-entry 'o' visa - you can still get them in Penang, Malaysia.

The visa costs 500 Ringit (about 5000 baht) and you pay nothing extra on each entry.

Although you travel it will be better to get the visa extension for one year.

There is a general tightening of the execution of the rules, and on the one year path you will be more secure.

Once you have the extension, or even while it is "under consideration", you can get a re-entry permit allowing you to leave and re-enter under the same visa.

A single re-entry permit is 1000 and a multi 3800.

Once issued lasts as long as your visa - up to one year - nothing more to pay
