I used to DJ at 100 club many years ago, thinking of organising a monthly event in pattaya area... I never quite made Wigan casino or the twisted wheel, but i made it every Friday to the local Northern Soul club. It had and still has a hel_l of a following in my town for us old gits. My mate at work use to D.J northern Soul back in Madchester and is an avid collector of the wax. If your ever in Phuket i will be more than happy to give you about 3,000 + Mp3 Northern Soul tracks he recently gave me. Am starting to hear what all the craze was about. But that's just another source of frustration, since none of the bars plays any. In fact, plain ol' rock 'n' roll has become an endangered species in Pattaya, only found in a few places now. Remember when Ray Charles was touring UK, he and the Raylettes were down there every free moment - used to get stoned just breathing the air.
