Need a little help from someone more local to Sawang. We all know True will not be showing PremLge next season think CTH has it and although a cable company they do dishes. Anybody know who does the dishes in Sawang and where they are. Thanks.

Thanks for reply. Didn't know Sawang had its own cable company. Really asking the question re dishes as I suspect only CTH will provide PremLge. Have seen the dish shops will have a walk round them and ask.

I remember the steak place from a few years ago and the decline. Yes quiet so maybe not the best time to judge. Porn at the coffee saloon is opening later as he said it was very quiet but also that people had no money.

Might still give it a try Saturday.

Went to the steak restaurant yesterday Thursday at about 2.30pm. Had different steaks and both were ok but served with minimum accompaniments. Side orders necessary.

In case anybody is interested I will give my thoughts. Perhaps CTO you can agree or disagree to give a balanced view following my one visit.

Steaks fine but both served with a black pepper sauce not as advertised. French fries fine and a decent portion.

Menu has English.

Prices on the big adverts are not the same as the menu which are a little higher.

Service:- we were the only customers in. The waitress did not know what drinks they had. Apart from taking the order did nothing else. After the food was served nobody came to the table to ask if we wanted anything else. The three ladies just sat round the corner and watched Thai TV. They could have very easily done so much more but this seems to be the Thai way here. This is almost certainly geared to farang so they need to learn that there is more to service than watching TV. What I never understand is why they do this. Do they not realise good service potentially means more or better tips. Think they need some marketing as well.

Seems like they have big screen, maybe for sports, football don't know no signs up.

Hope this goes well it is a nice addition to Sawang.

I think they have the potential for a good business here. I will go again for the steak for a change. Somebody needs to train the staff.

Good luck to them.

Further to the above on the steak place.

After a staggeringly hard and punishing hour on the driving range on Saturday my mate and I thought we had better get some sustenance so we went to the steak place.

About 5-6pm so it was the buffet. Have to say it was really good. Can't remember price 129B? Choice of beef, chicken, pork or fish steaks or whatever you want to call them.

Would recommend. Quite a few people in.

Will go again. Much preferred it to the many bbq places in town.

Just hope the swing improves.

New "Mini Bar' opened up,

I think the chap there is German, nice bloke, same place as every other German bar Sawang has had. Must be in the lease?

Anyone in Sawang Saturday would know we had amazing torrential downpour that washed out Bung (hole) Bar and Porn's, then had no electricity.

So decided to try out the new place,

Got there to see roller shutters pulled down against the rain, but underneath music and glittery lights.

Inside the chap was very pleasant, same lady as previously, very nice lady may I add, plus some girls who made us all laugh and generally, for a washout (2 feet of water in main street) was a good night cap!

Thanks for info re the bar. Maybe as before if I didn't walk down there wouldn't have known. Hope word gets around about it and busy enough to stay open. Last German owner there six months before I knew it was there.

Precisely where in Sawang Daen Din is this German bar please?

I've gone looking for it and haven't found it yet.

I had dinner in Nana's last night.

I was disappointed...the menu said 'Crispy pork and stir fried kale' but there was nothing 'crispy' at all about the pork.

German bar I believe gone, haven't looked, Nana's is . . . . .

"Walking street" is your best bet for bars.
