Pattaya46
Hi, What do you mean by 9xx ? I know 3 different models in this series : 900, 901 (new design + Atom) & 900A (900 with Atom). For 16,000 baht must be the "old" 900 model, no ?
monty
Asus has a big competitor with the Acer Aspire one. Saw them in TukCom Pattaya yesterday, 15,900 Baht incl. VAT. Avialable in Blue and white. The SDD is maller at 8GB and memory is only 512 mb, but much better processor. Also, it has a separate expansion slot for an SD card to expand storage, as well as a 4 in 1 card reader! Slightly nicer design, but this is obviously personal... The EEEpc 900 was still priced at 19,000 Baht.

In terms of battery life and general power consumption, yes, but the Atom doesn't have outstanding performance. The current Celeron M 900 will outrun the Atom 1.6Ghz on many benchmarks. Link That said, celerons are always running at full speed which is hardly ideal when you're trying to maximize battery life.

fleeing
Nice to hear that tha Acer Aspire One is on sale, but has anyone seen the recently introduced MSI Wind? The specs. are similar to the Acer, but overall it looks to be a better buy. Any news on avalability and price in Bangkok or Pattaya?
