I have just leased and moved into a house in Udon Thani...The house that we have leased has a complete Dynasat system including the big receiver and all the boxes, etc...

It has the 2.3 meter movable dish, Dynasat DigiBox 3000 and NextWave EX600 Stereo Satellite Receiver Antenna Positioner..Both boxes have remotes.

I tried to hook it up to the TV, but have had no luck making it work...So we have installed UBC...

I looked at the Dynasat website which seems to be outdated...

Anyone out there that has knowledge of how this works?

Does anyone know of a local source that can come out and look at what I have and tell me what needs to be done...We have leased the house for 2 years, so I may as well see if I can get it to work...

First of all make sure the sat. is at 146"0, then go to pinoycourt.com and enter the newest key code # which is very easy and you should be watching 38/40 station's. If you need more help send a pm

Dynsat stopped selling these boxes about 3 years ago. The digibox is a blind scan box, and will still work on the free to air channels only. These two boxes you mention above do not take codes that steal networks at 146e or anywhere for that matter, so do not waste your time trying. As they are this old I would suspect your dish is only equipped with the C band dish electronics (LNB) and you should have access to most C band satellites from 68.5e (in our west) down to 166e (In our east).

Check out this satellite listing web site and see what you might be able to see (only look at the Free channels as that is all these boxes will do) - Lyngsat Asia Satellite listings

Lyngsat is a good site too. I had Dynasat in Phuket for several months in a house I rented. I had an unobstructed 360 degree view from the top of the roof (4 story). I also downloaded a free program from "www.al-soft.com" called sat alignment which runs on the computer. It's more technical than you need but once you enter your approximate Long/Lat (google earth will tell you) it'll tell you all the satellites you can "see". Doesn't mean you can read the signal. There are a lot more than the 8 or 9 already programed in. It doesn't sound as if your box has these but if your receiver box has a "smart card" slot and a RJ-422 connector for the Internet on the back you can get a lot more, check with a local Dynasat dealer. Without saying too much here, you can get a lot of viewing for almost nothing a month. Sorta up to the dealer you talk to. You'll need to buy a need receiver box. Basically you pay for the card, connect to the Internet and the rest is self explanatory.
