joe90
I'm thinking of moving to Tokyo to teach and was wondering if anyone had any contacts that might be useful for finding work? Cheers
eljeque
My mother worked there on and off for about 7 years. Some people like it, and others don't! If you are loking to teach English, and you want to be paid, I sugggest hat you look instead to the Middle East. You will SAVE real money there. I have taught there for 9 years. If you would like information on how to land a job there, please message me. I have a long list of sites for companies , schools, recruiters, etc.

PeaceBlondie
You can google for davesesl forum and go to the Japanese sub-forum. We have some posters here with experience in Japan, who have not responded, maybe because their time was long ago.
johnnyk
Good pay eaten up by expensive living costs. Housing hassles involving key money and xenophobia. Take a few thousand dollars to get you through rent and expenses until first paycheque which can be two months down the road.
