Does anyone know of a good Foreign Exchange information site which includes the Baht as well as major currencies, together with last month/year/etc. statistics?

Oanda is a good site as mentioned. Can look at performance history of currencies and see current rates of exchange.

Being an avid investor in currency for some time now, I also like to look at these sites for reference. They contain a Java script currency ticker which shows you the action as its happening. Must enable Java on your PC.

Forex-Markets.com

and this one

FX Street

If you'd like to talk about investing I would be happy to help you by recommending the firm through which I invest and passing on the daily newsletter I receive via e-mail on currencies. Let me know. Good Luck

As an FX trader I use IG Index in the UK to spread-bet. Yes, I'd welcome the daily newsletter on currencies. Thanks.

Care to make any personal predictions on the slide of the USD and how much the BHT will gain over the next 3-12 months? I do business with the U.S., so I'm getting less Baht for the dollar. I'm trying to decide if it would be sound to set up a business in the U.S. so that I can choose whether to have my customers pay me there or here.

Also, the Chinese bubble is on the verge of bursting. The Yuan is pegged to the USD for now. But how much longer? What would a hard landing in China do for U.S. business there? If you had to choose between manufacturing in China versus Thailand would China have an edge given that their bubble bursts?

USD will continue to erode further. Against the Baht though, its hard to tell. If the Thai government was going to let market forces decide the fate of the Baht, then it would surely appreciate. Alas, the Thai Gov. doesn't want to let the Baht get too strong so it's too hard to tell. For investing purposes only, I would reccommend EUR, AUD, or NZD.

Regarding manufacturing in China - well... I got many warnings. The risks are higher and I don't think there is a very significant difference in production costs. If their bubble bursts big time it also means instability in ways that cannot be predicted and might very well be risky for foreign investors.

If I were you I'd put most of my energy in trying to find European customers.
