Pattaya_Fox
Three Baht Bus Pickpockets detained by Danish Tourist. There was drama on Pattaya Beach Road in the early hours of Wednesday Morning as a Danish Tourist became involved in a common crime which has affected countless tourists over the years. Pickpockets on Baht Buses often work in teams and know exactly who to target and how to steal from them without their knowledge. Police are always on the lookout for such gangs and on Wednesday, thanks to the quick thinking of the Danish Tourist, 3 suspected female thieves are now behind bars. Mr. Hassan Biko aged 71 was travelling on Baht Bus number 374 with three women. One of which sat very close to Mr. Biko who realized that he was being robbed. Mr. Biko shouted to the Baht Bus Driver to stop and call the Police while the Dane detained the three women inside the Baht Bus. Police Colonel Nopadon, the Chief of Pattaya Police arrived and arrested the three women who were found to be sisters, Khun Patama aged 21, Khun Sunet aged 42 and Khun Sunun aged 40. A search of the three women uncovered 2 Yabba Tablets, 2 packets of Marijuana and a mobile phone. At Pattaya Police Station, the three confessed to conducting numerous thefts on Baht Buses and also confessed to possessing the class 1 and class 5 drugs. They are now behind bars as Police attempt to connect them to previously unsolved cases of theft on baht Buses. Pattaya One News Wednesday 22nd October 2008. cali4995
(1) of the women, pictured in the center of the group shot does in fact appear to be the same lady in this earlier arrest (below) Khun Sunan age 40. Wow, she must have spent a whole two weeks in detention before preying on other tourists. http://www.pattayamail.com/790/news.shtml#hd8

cali4995
There are some other pictures on this other site(below). A bit nauseating knowing their targeting elderly folks they believe won't notice or I guess put up resistance. Good on the old Dane. Must be one of those left-over viking types. http://www.pattayadailynews.com/shownews.p...NEWS=0000007585

And what does a petty thief get in YOUR homeland, eh rob? cali? Life or the electric chair? Don't make me laugh too hard now. Good job by this Danish chap though. I reckon more tourist (or resident tourist) vigilantes is what we need. Give us old buggers a red beret and one of them cheap carved tourist tat walking sticks and we will sort out these druggy shites. Then the mayor can concentrate on getting more trees chopped down as the tourists will only come back when 'they can see the sea' and the cops can go back to running their beer bars and karaoke holes.
