Michelin Pilot Sporty Radial Tyres Cbr150. Who Wants

Hi the Michelin tyre rep is currently checking stock and prices for Michelin Pilot Sporty tyres to fit the CBR150. the sizes i have asked for are 100/80-17front and 110/80-17 rear as being the best sizes for control.handling and economy. the difference with the front tyre is bloody fantastic.

i'm using 100front 130 rear at the moment (130rear is to big).

so who is interested in transforming the handling,braking etc of thier CBR and maybe wants a set as a group buy.

approx price 3,000baht for set but will confirm.

Put me down for a set, and make sure you link to this thread inside the CBR 150R thread, in case anybody that's subscribed to that thread but not the sub-forum has the chance to get on this.

Na Charlie the <deleted> wit Michelin rep sez they don't have stock in Thailand even though they are made here. i suggest you get the guy at Tiger to give him a call. Maybe he will respond better to a Thai. i will PM the number.

Hi ! i'm thierry from mauritius :D and i have a honda cbr 150r ! i want a pair of michelin pilot sporty tires ! i cant find any in mauritius :) and i was wondering if i can buy a pair from thailand and then it wil come by airmail or boat ! :D what do you think ? can you help me please !? :D

I know it was a long time ago, but I'm guessing you all got you're tyres.

I've had my baby cbr for a week now, and yes the standard tyres have got about as much grip as a penguin sliding belly down on ice, so.....

How much did they set you back, and where can I get a set in BKK??????

Check www.cbr150thailand.com. also some people are saying the Pirelli MT75's are good they are available from show pow, bangkok

chiang mai biker shop can have a set arrive in one day, from michelin, also does dunlop japan.

And he's a nice guy, speaks english, but he doesn't install them.

I've bought 2 sets from him.

For anyone wanting to turn their bike (performance-wise), the stock size is the best size.

For looks and straight line driving and potholes, a bigger size would work.

I'm tired of everyone saying how bigger is better, but I don't want to start an argument on-line - I'm providing an alternate viewpoint for those that haven't convinced themselves of this fallacy yet.

The bigger sizes sacrifice turning because of profile, and weight.

Heavier unsprung weight means the suspension cannot work as well.

Heavier means you lose rear wheel HP/acceleration since the engine has to spin a rear tire with more mass. Laws of physics.

But - maybe you can't tell - it depends on how you drive your bike.

Driving up and down Doi Suthep at a brisk pace it is very noticeable.

In traffic, slowly, in a straight line, maybe not.

I have a virtually new (400km) 110/80 rear (one size above spec),

and a 90/80 front with lots of tread left (one year old - about 4000km).

Anybody in Chiang Mai interested in them?

They are still on the bike.

What is gollila charging for the 110 rear? (I paid 2100 for mine here in CM).

I would give a good price on the pair.

Good opportunity to move up from IRC's for a good discount...

I placed an order today and the price for both tires in the size you mentioned was 2700thb shipping included (two days so they say) For standard size (90/80-17 & 100/80-17) 2400thb.
