Restaurant On Top Floor Of Tower?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Is there a restaurant on the top floor of lumpini tower or bayoik or something (i keep getting them 2 mixed up).

I heard about a restaurant being on the top floor of a tower, and basially you can eat and look out the windows and see a pretty good view.

Anyone know about it?

Also, how much would a meal for 2 be?

Thanks

Hi Enjibenji, there is an awesome buffet restaurant on top of Baiyoke Sky Tower, it's an AWESOME view, you can see all of Bangkok from there, and the food is great and VERY affordable, I forget exactly what the price was but it's VERY cheap considering what you get (the view, all-you-can-eat, etc).

Hope you go and enjoy yourself there, it's actually kinda scary hehe, it's on something like floor level #72 or something hehe, it's FAR higher than any other buildings nearby :o

I have not been in the restaurant on top of Baiyoke II. I have been in the restaurant on top of Baiyoke I several times, though not in the past couple of years. It was primarily a buffet style restaurant with a reasonably good selection of western and Thai foods. And yes, the views were spectacular. Although I can't tell you an exact price range anymore, it was more expensive than "average" for Bangkok, but I did not feel it was unreasonable. When I used to go it was about what I would pay for a good dinner in the States.

You can goggle both.

enjoy & have fun!! :o

(sorry i can't post url - please add http & www infront of the above links)

The resturant at Baiyoke charges around 350 baht exc drinks, per person. Food is okay'ish. The view is spectacular especially at night.

Make sure to get a window seat for full effect.

Entertainment is provided by a jazz singer and pianist.

Try it, and let us know what you think.

The Baiyoke Sky Hotel has a number of restaurants to choose from. I've been to the Crystal Grill Restaurant (82nd floor) which I thought was excellent value for it's extremely large buffet. 620Bt net. Evenings only.

Then theres The Bangkok Sky Restaurant on the 76th & 78th floors, which offers the International Seafood Buffet at both lunchtime and dinner.

On the 79th floor is the Stella Palace Chinese Restaurant offering International buffet and seafood hotpot.

This is priced at 400Bt net lunchtimes and 520Bt net for dinner.

The website, as suggested above, is quite good.

Should also point out that there are two Baiyoke Towers.

The information I gave earlier relates to the resturant on 43rd floor (I think) in the older tower.

I can't remember if it's Baiyoke 1 or 2.

Sorry, my memory's going.

I think it was the older Baiyoke 1, which is also known as Baiyoke Suite, that you must have gone to jaiyenyen :o

There used to be a buffet menu at the Baiyoke II. The price of I think 400.- baht included access to the rotating outside observation floor. Buffet was so so.

The view is astounding, but the best thing about it is the silence. Best time to visit would be about 30 minutes prior to sunset and watch the city turn from day to night.

Sirocco has a great wow factor but i also like vertigo for a few relaxing cocktails as you can usually get a seat to enjoy the view!
