Flying To Uk - What Kind Of Prices Are People Getting At The Moment?

Hi I want to fly

BKK-MAN-BKK - leaving early Feb and coming back late March.

What kind of prices is everyone getting at the moment. I'm being quoted 37000 at the cheapest which works out at around 700 GBP at the moment! I've never paid that much for a ticket...obviously the exchange rate is having a massive effect.

Any advice on how to get around this or which flight websites might be useful?

Many thanks in advance for the knowledge!

I think Emirates fly into MAN, not sure about Etihad. Try Massic Travel in Pattaya to get a rough idea (actually they are usually very accurate).

Currently showing around the same price as you but that is only going out until 4th January. Check back after Friday.

Or google and phone (not email) NPK in Pattaya. I've used them for years and they are the best for prices.

Qatar looks expensive, at present, but Etihad's own website shows this at 31,940 Baht :-

24th Feb dep BKK 08.40 on EY407 arr AUH 12.15

dep AUH 13.30 on EY021 arr MAN 17.40

25th Mar dep MAN 09.20 on EY016 arr AUH 20.30

dep AUH 22.05 on EY402 arr BKK 06.55* next day

An agent, such as Thaivisa Travel, may get you a better price than this ?

Hi everyone and thanks for your responses. The cheapest I've been quoted is still 37700 but i'll try that travel agent in Pattaya and I'll also give the Thaivisa people a go. :o

I suspect that Etihad price at 31xxx baht doesnt include tax. but thanks all the same

Just a quick note: changing travel agents doesn't necessarily mean the prices will change, changing airlines usually does make them change. Find yourself a good travel agent who has access to all the prices and deals.

My apologies to Ricardo - he was right!

I bought a ticket for 31940 baht incuding the tax. Flying with Etihad. It's a 2 month ticket which suits me fine - it's a promo offer and much cheaper than everything else i've been quoted.

Thanks everyone

John

PS. Can you believe that last year that would've been less than 500GBP and this year it's 600GBP! typical!
