Thai Airways helps evacuate injured

BANGKOK: -- Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) and the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) are working together to help evacuate foreign and Thai tourists injured in Sunday's tidal wave disaster.

A report from the national flag carrier said that the airline was providing free flights to take people in the country's southern coastal provinces stricken by Sunday's tsunami to Bangkok in order to receive hospital treatment.

Passengers wishing to return to the capital or to send the bodies of those killed in the incident back to Bangkok can contact the airline at its Phuket Airport Office on (076) 205-335 or (076) 327-194 or its Phuket town office on (076) 212-400 or (076) 211-195.

The airline has also set up a help desk centre in the domestic terminal of Bangkok's Don Muang Airport, which can be contacted on 02-535-7070-3.
