Trat Penensula Info?/

Planning a drive trip to the beach with my thai family and would like to get off the beaten tourist route and see the Trat penensula.......the narrow strip of coast bordering Cambodia. have done the usual google search and haven't come up with anything interesting. Mostly upscale destination resorts, priced in $$'s. There must be some moderately priced resorts/bungaloos for families.....not backpacker dives, but something moderately priced....under 1,000THB. Would be nice to be able to cook in the room or bar-b-q outside.

Anyone know of any places?? and other tips on the area would be appreciated.......must see, must do, etc????

Have a look at Mairood Resort that would do the job. Good place to base yourself - lots of dirt cheap seafood in Klong Yai.
