91..95 Gasohol?

Recommended Posts

I am a bit confused. Can someone help me with all the different Fuel Choices at my local gas Station

I have 3 vehicles and I am no longer sure what to put in....

#1 - Volvo gas run - I want whatever is best for the car

#2 125cc Sonic

#3 Newish Honda Wave i

So there is 91 gas, then 95? and then this new Gashol?

can somebody tell me what I want to put in what and why?

You do not give a year for your vehicles; that is not helpful. I have a four-year old Sonic 125 and that was the year Honda switched from 95 to 91. I have used the bio-fuels but this caused misfiring and was hard to start. So I immediately went back to 91- no problems. A friend has an older 20-yr old Volvo and he uses biogas because it's cheap. Cheap now but not for long. I suggested he revert to 95 due to the actual pauses in the engines acceleration I witnessed while on excursions with him: cheap now but expensive later given the hurt to the engine. Hey, many Thais and Farangs fail to even change their oil at regular intervals to save a few baht: one reason more why I will not buy 2nd hand. Why not contact your vehicle distributor for their advice. :)

You'd best talk to your Honda/Volvo Dealers, as you've just found out you won't get a straight answer from this forum.

If cost is not issue, just carry on using the most expensive fuel you can find.
