Well, as Kasikorn has choosed to join the groups of other greedy banks, anyone knows where I could find a Ayudhya or GSB ATM in the vincinity of Chayapreuk?

Used my card at a Kasikorn ATM today and was not charged the 300 Baht.

At Bank of Ayudhya there is no ATM fee according to latest reports but the exchange rate you get seems to depend on the type of credit card you use, MasterCard or Visa. See this post:

Bank of Ayudhya appears to still be fee free. However, Ayudhya has begun using something called Dynamic Currency Conversion for MasterCard logo cards from U.S. $ or Euro accounts. That method is not a fee, but it does result in Ayudhya giving those transactions a very bad exchange rate.

So at present, using Visa logo cards at Ayudhya would seem the better approach. Using MasterCards at Ayudhya can end up being more expensive that the other banks' 150 baht fee.

As I use a card bound to the Swedish Krona there's no problem.

Wasn't the fee usually 150 baht ?

A friend was charged 150 baht for an international withdrawal

Today at a a Kasikorn ATM in pattaya’

Bit of a shame that one.

Wife says Bank of Ayudhya is now the only bank not charging 150B per use at an ATM. Man what a scam!

Yesterday while sheltering from the rain at a 7.11, there was an Ayudhya Bank ATM machine being serviced by a member of there staff - I got my Partner to ask him about the Fee of 150 bt. The Guy said the 150 bt will soon follow same as the other Banks. Great news ey ! (not)

Smashing them open with a big rock doesn't charge you a 150b fee. Just be sure to not linger around and throw a fist full of the money into the air so the Thais create a mob. It will help your escape.
