How Can I Get My Girlfriend A Canadian Trv?

Featured Replies

Is anyone else finding this a little tiring and difficult to do? Twice now my girlfriend has applied for a Canadian TRV to come to visit me this summer and twice she has been turned down for invalid reasons.

#1. - She has had a job at the same place for 5 years. Letter from here company confirms everything and that she must return for work that is scheduled for her.

#2. - She has a mortgage on a house that she has had for 3 years now. Documentation provided for that too.

#3. - Money in her Account. I sent 75000 baht into her account and bank statements have been provided.

#4. - Letter from me as to our touristy things and where she will be staying and living while she is here.

This is getting really frustrating and I am beginning to think that this turning down of Visa's is a big money grab. Pay your money wait 10 minutes and they smile and say thank you here is the shaft again. Why is it legitamite people can't get a TRV and scammers and drug dealers and crap can? Anyone got any advice or help on this? :)

What were the reasons given for the refusals? If you don't tell people what the reasons for refusal were, it's hard for people to advise you how to satisfy the embassy so that you don't face a third refusal. They have points that they feel need addressing before they are happy to issue the visa, and although you may think they are crap reasons, the Canadian embassy obviously doesn't.

I'm guessing a lump sum payment of 75k baht into her account may have done her more harm than good. Better to have sent a bit regularly over 6 - 12 months to gradually build the balance.

First time was personal assets and financial assets. Second time was travel history, personal assets and financial assets, purpose of visit, limited employment prospects in Thailand, current employment situation and what ever the hel_l is your establishment in home country means.

With that attitude I don't think a lot of help will be coming your way.
