Before encouraging visitors to drive they should be attempting to reduce the huge death toll on Thai roads, making them a lot safer and punishing drunk drivers and speeders properly by reducing corruption in the Police.

Agreed. Certainly more dangerous than AH1N1 has been so far and that would be comparing the daily death toll on Thai roads with that of the flu virus.
