george Posted June 12, 2009 Share Posted June 12, 2009 10 New Zealanders quarantined in Sa Kaew for flu check SA KAEW: -- Health officials Friday quarantined 10 New Zealand tourists after one of them was found to have high fever when crossing the border at the Aranyaprathet checkpoint. Officials measured the body temperature of Blair Matthew and found that he had 39.3 Celsius degree body temperature. Matthew had led 9 other New Zealanders to visit Vietnam. They had arrived from New Zealand before visiting Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia and returned to Thailand the check point at 12:30 pm Friday. Personally I feel people are scared and aware enough about these diseases and there is no need to make further comments which scare more and more people. The opposite should be done! I don't think I would want to get caught in this situation and I certainly wouldn't want to be far from home if I was really sick.
